What do I do?
After you call the fire department, call your insurance company. They will give you instruction, and assign an agent to assist you. Be sure to follow their directions as best you can. Then call us: (406) 782-5339. We will help board up broken windows, protect the house from holes in the roof structure, and get soot off from surfaces that are easily etched.
Fire damage can be overwhelming, and devastating. Know that we have helped many people through them, and are happy to help you as well. However long it may take, we will work right along side you to mitigate the damage, eliminate odor, and clean contents.
What Is The Procedure?
The first step in fire damage and smoke damage restoration is to clean the source areas thoroughly and quickly. If this is not accomplished, soot can combine with natural water in the airs to create an acid, which will etch some surfaces, and cause yellowing in many others. A certified fire and smoke damage restoration company, such as Fine Fabric Care is trained to identify and eliminate causes of further damage. Time is of utmost importance. In just hours, yellowing and etching will begin. In just a week, the cost of clean-up can have soared, with more invasive methods being required.
Fine Fabric Care is prepared to respond rapidly, remove the source of the odor, and clean any items that can be salvaged. We have over 75 years of combined experience in the deodorization of fire damaged buildings, are certified by the IICRC, and carefully meet or exceed all accepted standards of the industry. We have successfully handled many scales and severities of damage. Call us as soon as you can!
Fire Damage FAQs
Can we start restoration of my fire damage before my adjuster sees the damage? Yes. Fine Fabric Care makes a careful diagram, complete with pictures (and moisture readings as fire-fighting efforts often leave the building quite wet) for your insurance company’s review. It is important to halt any further damage from occurring, and it may be some time before an insurance adjuster can personally visit the site.
Will Fine Fabric Care work with my insurance? Yes. We work directly with your insurance company to provide the best fire damage restoration service possible.
I don’t think I’m insured. What do I do? Call us anyway. Leaving the problem sit can cause tremendous damage. We can take scope of the fire damage, perform essential mitigation, provide you with an estimate, and work alongside you to mitigate the damage quickly, efficiently, and economically.
